Program Note

This work was composed as a part of the Between the Lines program held at the University of Michigan in 2023, which brought together composer/poet duos to collaborate on new works. In tandem with poet Bridgette Brados, I developed this piece with text at the forefront of my consideration. Through gentle expanse, the music follows the line of breath and water that effortlessly moves through this poem.
